Cristina Simeoni was born in Mantova in 1974. She lives and works in Piubega, a little town near Mantova. Driven by art passion, she started painting from her earliest years taking part to \"Madonnari\" gatherings (painters who paint sacred images on the floor by using chalks only), specializing herself in drawings and oil technique. At the beginning of the 90\'s she worked at scene-painting for staging en plen air and after the technical school-leaving,attended painting and decorative art lessons. These experiences drove her to obtain flattering acknowledgments and to be in touch with well-known painters. Actually, in addition to paint, Cristina works in advertising illustration. She took part to national and international exhibitions like \"Artists in Tourin 2001\", \"ArtePadova 2001\" and \"Eurohumor 2001\".
Between 2000 and 2001 the participations to important italian exhibitions nearby Sanremo, Gazzuolo, Breda Cisoni carried on. During the same year she took part to the International Exhibition of Painting and Graphic \"Il gioco nell\'arte\", obtaining the Lucio Violi award.She took part to the Art 2001 award, to the Suzzara award for the free participation section and,on invitation, to the extra edition of International Humor Exhibition \"Isole\" 2001. During 2002, she obtained the 2nd award in the subject section \"Il fiore nell\'arte\" ( 3rd edition of National Exhibition Cremona 2000 - Trofeo Luigi Valenti). She kept a personal art-exhibition in Cremona (Italy) with an excellent audience and critics reply, taking part later to the Immagini Gallery exhibition.
In 2003, still in Cremona, she kept a new personal art-exhibition with very big works, which obtained the 3rd award for Composing in the 4th Edition of National Exhibition Cremona 2000 - Trofeo Luigi Valenti, and in 2004 she took part on invitation to The female Art.In 2004 she also kept a personal art-exhibition nearby Spazio Arte gallery in Castell\'Arquato (Piacenza - Italy) entitled \"Dalla realtà al sogno\" (From reality to dream). Her works are reproduced in important art books and are present in public and private collections.

Slides in the oneiric silence of infinite meditations the painting of Cristina
Simeoni, refined painter from Mantova (Italy) that has ripened her own style of painting thanks to her natural bent for creative action.
In her works are well visible almost metaphysical spaces, that stand out between ochre and yellow, in a vaguely surrealistic atmosphere that graze and sound, at the bottom, buildings and architectonic elements mantled from wrapping night lights.
In these lights it seems it can sound, following the rhythm of a secret alphabet of lights and colors, suggestions and sensations that touch in deep. In this way Cristina Simeoni nimbly moves from reality to dream, from the sign to the substance that outlines and represents, that suggests more than shows.
So, a completely inner painting that lives through sudden chromatic lightings, through palpitating light and shade made with astonishing unselfconsciousness and efficaciousness, the same like the first works.
In the recent production this characteristic is very emphasized, colouring of that perfect harmony that reigns in the dynamic balance of shapes that the artist paints with authentic passion.And in front of her foreshortening and her difficult internal urban it isn\'t difficult to perceive the human presence: never represented, but absolutely present in signs, or better in footsteps, that witness the coming (to be noted, for instance, the lights arrangement, never casual ), that comings that Cristina Simeoni leaves always open to let the public carefully examine her works and make them their own.
The painter discloses a very sharp attention for reality, rendered metaphorically through the evocation, the same that drives her, nearly by hand, to try an artistic way in which the real fragment becomes the ideal segment of a deep meditation that moves towards tactile and visible atmospheres with an involving expressive nature.
