Vita / Lebenslauf:
Alan Perry is a poet, painter, illustrator, dramatist and short-story writer. He is the winner of an Eric Gregory Award for Poetry and the Leslie Moore Award for Painting.His documentary book about homelessness in Swansea, 'Music You Don't Normally Hear', was published in 1998 and his dramatization of it has been staged many times since then. His Selected Poems,'Dreaming from North to South' and his Selected Stories, 'Days of the Comet' appeared in 2006 and 2007 respectively.His artwork has appeared in the Welsh Drawing Biennale and his poems recently featured in the Library of Wales anthology 'Poetry 1900-2000:100 Poets of Wales.' He is married to artist and portrait painter Jean Perry. He has two artist sons: Gareth Perry living and working in London and David Perry, living and working in New York.
