Bart Jurjen Feikens, Born 6 januari 1968, Leeuwarden, Friesland, Netherlands
As a child: a two times price-winning painter.
1987 - first commercial promotional drawings for
Restaurant 'Willems Hoek'
1988-Art-gallery-shop A. Koopman in Leeuwarden, Friesland. Netherlands
1987-1989 Some campaigning artwork, politic issues.
1990-1994 Studying School for Arts Amsterdam (Amsterdamse Hogeschool voor de Kunsten) Director and Drama-teacher(first degree).
1991-1997 Several affiches for theatre-plays like Virgina Woolf (1992)
1995-2009 I have worked for Dutch televisionstations like RVU, Tros, Kindernet and Nickolodeon, as a director/painter
2009-Exposition Autobiographic Work in the Bricklane Gallery, London, Bricklane, UK. In one of their so called 'Art in Mind' Expositions.
Nowadays: Producing Theatreshows 'Ptr n Brt' (Peter Hendriks and me)including artwork.
Aktivitäten / Ausstellungen:
November 2008 some of my art will be exposed in the Brick Lane Gallery in London in their \\\\\\\'art in mind\\\\\\\' exposition.In 1989 i started with some commercial drawings for different companys. Inspred by so many comics by the artist Marten Toonder and old dutch painters like v Gogh. Beside working as a director/actor in Holland in theatre and for television, i produced many drawings for promoting then current shows or those drawings were part of the performance. Like the children-song-adventures (4 titles) of Dirk Scheele for Nickolodeon(1999-2009)In 2009 i have exposed some non-fiction drawings in februari 2009 In a so called 'art in mind' exposition. Nowadays im working on my own theatre performance as 'Peter en Bart' with singer/actor Peter Hendriks. And again drawings are part of the stories we tell the younger audience. Besides my work as a painter im working as director/actor and scripteditor
