Vita / Lebenslauf:
ARTIST STATEMENT:

i am a wordless storyteller

i believe that art should not be allowed or allow itself to be defined by words

i create visual nuances of fluctuating reality, for people to question what lies beneath the surface

my work is about three-dimensionalization of thought process without going through time to achieve it

my work is derived from experiences around me thru me and into me, it is not subject or content oriented from the beginning, it unfolds into this

my work is about uncovering the self, an exploration of the self’s experiences in life and how a life is affected by all that is absorbed day to day

what drives my paintings is the honesty derived in each explosive moment that brings forward the complexity from thousands upon thousands of previous moments while learning the best choices needed to tell the story that is unfolding in each piece

i intentionally change the organic composition of a piece in order to jar the viewer’s eye into accepting what they would not have expected

these words just written here are just words that have come to evaluation in order to let the reader comprehend that which at times can be difficult. i hope in some way they have been useful and have helped you to understand more of what i do. as you can see i have not completely fallen into the norm for an artist statement and i do not intend to. for is not one of the objectives of many artists to look at the world in a different way and to bring that viewpoint to life?

the reality of the situation takes hold in the subconscious which manifest itself in the act of creation

the act of creation, especially something truly original, that is what i do
