Statement:
I utilize various artistic methods as a form of research, investigating ideological and societal contradictions. I am interested in systems of alienation and the role of art objects within such. My work often aims to construct a deceptive environment where the hidden lack of participation or the direct use of participation, create tension between the viewer, the process and the image. The architecture and strong use of repetition suggest a timeless state and form a mechanical void, while questioning the proposed values of everyday.
My most recent works consist of paintings, drawings, embroidery, employing various forms of actions. Using these techniques I aim to identify ways to engage with audiences, creating work as platform for dialogue and as a tool for the production of common space.
