BLACK IS BEAUTY During my stay in New York (USA) in 2003 I went on an expedition with a pencil and camera. What resulted were countless drawings of the city and its inhabitants. I engaged with the people, their mindset, their culture and its forms. With the pencil I fathom the boundary between esthetics and cultural image. It is a mixture of fashion, lifestyle and street art. The strong contrast between black and white is ruptured through lines and at the same time it connects the character of the picture |
