Cesenatico is a port town of about 20,000 people on the Adriatic coast of Italy. Today Cesenatico is a popular tourist resort. The port-channel was built in 1500 after an original design by Leonardo da Vinci (originally planned to reach Cesena, some 15 km inland). I like very much to walk in the port-channel during winter when a soft fog covers the water and sea gulls scream all the time. In this painting sea gulls are the owners of the canvas. |
