When I toured France's famed Chartres Cathedral there was a statement made by our guide, Professor Malcolm Miller that has always remained with me: "A church is like a library; you cannot expect to read all the books on a single visit, but today we will read a few chapters." Over time as the brilliant colors faded from the Church facade, so did many of the details and nuances of the parables depicted.
