Bio / Resumee / Statement:
Hello my name is Jake Howard.
I was born in Kingston upon Thames in 1969, and started welding at the age of fifteen.
After moving to Devon when I was twenty five I found that the pace of life here allowed me to be better in touch with my artistic side.
I started working with other artists on their projects, and soon became inspired and confident enough to show my own work, so I decided to combine my fabrication skills with my artistic flare and have been creating, exhibiting and selling my own work internationally ever since.
I love the great out doors and enjoy all the elements. Inspirations for my work tend to come from space, the deep sea and stuff that hangs around on the abyssal plain and natural energy and phenomena.
My favourite medium to work with is stainless steel, as I enjoy a challenge.
All my art work is designed to stand the test of time, so stainless Steel lends its self to this, at the same time giving a futuristic feel to allot of my designs.
