großformatig auf Leinwand mit Keilrahmen
oder auf Alu-Dibond. Formate variabel - vom kleinen Platzfüller bis 270 x 135 cm.

Mit der Malerei hat es bei mir begonnen – vor allem beeinflusst von den Freiheiten des Informel, dem Reduktionismus japanischer Tuschemalerei, der Klarheit des Konstruktivismus sowie von den Abstraktionen des Expressionismus.

Für mich ist Fotografie und Bildbearbeitung ein Werkzeug wie Pinsel und Acryl. Mir ist es nicht an Wiedergabegenauigkeit eines Objektes gelegen, nicht an dokumentatorischen Aspekten, sondern an der Ausschöpfung gestalterischer Möglichkeiten.

Zu den häufigen bildnerischen Elementen gehören dynamische Aspekte: es ist etwas in Bewegung, baut sich auf, verbindet sich, fügt sich in der Summe zu mehr, als die einzelnen Teile im ersten Eindruck vermuten lassen.

Bewegung in der Ruhe, Vielfalt in der Klarheit, Offenheit für individuelle Interpretationen, die Fokussierung auf das Weniger-ist-mehr-Prinzip, das Spiel mit Polaritäten - das ergibt sich oft zusammen mit einer unbekümmerten Freude an dekorativer Wirkung bei meinen Bildern.
