CONTEMPORARY TRIBAL SURREALISM
Bio / Resumee / Statement:
Who is Bernard Rangel?
Who better to explain about an artist other that the artist himself. So here it is straight from the horses mouth. Bernards objective here is to be precise and concise but at the same time enlightening and involving.
After having lived 24 years in Brazil and painting professionally for 35 years Bernard has set up his studio in the East End of London.
Bernards origins are a myriad of cultures, aromas, different shapes and colours all blended together through time giving an exotic presence that is relentless as he leaves his mark for others to reflect upon.
His painting influences are artists like, Max Ernst, Goya, Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dali, Jackson Pollock, Michelangelo and many others that have already left their legacy for mankind to reflect upon.
Bernard Cajetan Rangel was born in Aden, the South Yemen in 1957 of Indian parents from Goa. He was educated in Ireland, has lived in Europe, Asia, and the Americas. Over the many years of defining his style of work and selling his paintings he has named his work “Contemporary Tribal Surrealism”. He is participating at the HanseArt Fair in Bremen from 12-14 November. Come to stand 82 and meet him personally.
