Statement:
The creation and perception of signs in their communicative and even meditative meaning is a cultural basic experience, common to all human civilisations.
The central motivation of my work has therefore become the formation and interpretation of these signs as visual characters.
I am not only interested in the pure aesthetic representation of them, rather then in their inherent ability of relate to each other and to interpret complex subjects/themes/ideas.
Signs linked together in sheer endless variations become impulses for something larger and more complex then they themselves display.
Signs as symbols, pictograms, characters, experiences constant alteration and modification. In support of this process I developed several methods which can be realised today most perfectly with the computer.
Corresponding methods are found in musical composition, mathematics and poetry.
Therefore Art represents for me a method of recognition which can lead to a universal understanding of infinite processes in nature.
