Statement:
Die Malerei ist fuer mich Ausdruck meiner Lebenserfahrungen und Interessen hinsichtlich Literatur, fremde Kulturen und der Natur mit ihren Kreaturen. Das Veneto, mein jetziger Lebensraum und einstmals ueberflutet, ist Heimat vieler Vogelarten. Der italienische Maler Pietro Longhi hat schon vor 300 Jahren die Seidenreiher dieser Gegend dargestellt. Andere Anregungen erhielt ich von Reisen, z.B. aus Griechenland und Irland, sowie aus Afrika (siehe Tierbilder) und Indien ("Glaubenskontraste") und von Fantasiereisen, siehe ("Nacht der Flughunde").

Besuch der "Meisterschulen fuer Kunsthandwerk und Grafik" 1958-63 in Berlin
1982-83 Ausbildung in Monumentalmalerei und der Herstellung von Bleiglasfenstern auf der "Academie Royale des Beaux Arts" in Bruessel.
Lebte, arbeitete und stellte aus ueber 45 Jahre in Italien, England, Belgien und Deutschland
lebt und abeitet jetzt in Oberitalien, Padua

The layout of the paintings of Irene Huskobla's art explicitly declares a process of figural, chromatic and formal composition. Undoubtedly, there is a poetic predilection, an instinct, for oneiric-surrealistic sensitivity, yet greatly mitigated by a desire to tell, that selects and contemplates symbolic elements of paths leading not away from the real to the fantastic, but rather sliding into the parallel reality of the fable, of the dream, which magically reassembles and synthesises perseptions and experiences in the well-cultivated and professional pictorial gesture, itself rich in rare resonance, restoring the voice and the word, the desire and the narrative capacity, without surrogating, illustrating or inhibiting it.
