Statement:
Es sind teilweise sehr persönlichen Bilder, weil ich meistens keine Worte für meine Gefühle habe - aber dafür Bilder.
Alle Bilder zeichne ich frei aus dem Kopf ohne jegliche Vorzeichnungen oder Vorlagen. Meistens habe ich einen Teil des Bildes im Kopf und der Rest entsteht wie von selbst auf dem Papier.
Auf Wunsch gestalte ich auch Ilustrationen oder Bilder nach ihren Wünschen.

Bio / Resumee / Statement:
Mein Name ist Kea vom Hofe und ich wurde 1960 in Wuppertal geboren. Sowohl beim Realschulabschluss 1976 in Duisburg, als auch beim Abitur 1979 in Mülheim/Ruhr hatte ich das Fach Kunst als Haupt- und Prüfungsfach gewählt.
Anschließend machte ich in Mülheim/Ruhr eine Ausbildung zur Schauwerbegestalterin als Grundlage für ein damals geplantes Designstudium.
Nach der Ausbildung entschied ich mich jedoch für Kinder und Familie, und studierte erst in der Zeit von 1995 bis 1999 in Vechta und Osnabrück.
Statt für das ursprünglich geplante Designstudium entschied ich mich für ein Lehramtstudium mit den Fächern Mathematik/Informatik, Gestaltendes Werken und Textiles Gestalten, weil ich bemerkt hatte, dass mir die Arbeit mit Kindern und Jugendlichen sehr viel Freude bereitet. Im Anschluss an dem Studium habe ich das Referendariat in Bremen absolviert. Danach arbeitete ich an verschiedenen Schulen in Bremen, Syke und Rehden. Neben meinen studierten Fächern erteilte ich u. a. auch sehr häufig Kunstunterricht in den Schuljahrgängen zwei bis zehn. Im Sommer 2012 wurde ich aus gesundheitlichen Gründen in den Vorruhestand versetzt.
Während meiner Schulzeit erhielt ich von verschiedenen Künstlern zusätzlichen Kunstunterricht. Damals gestaltete ich zahlreiche Plakate für die unterschiedlichsten Veranstaltungen in Schule und Kirchengemeinde.
Ab 1977 nahm ich an verschiedenen Gemeinschaftsausstellungen teil, jedoch mit Beginn der Ausbildung stellte ich es ein.
Lange Zeit ruhte fast vollständig meine künstlerischen Tätigkeiten, bis ich 2009 in der Rehaklinik die Kunst für mich wieder neu entdeckte.
