Moritz Gaede hat in Montreal, Kanada mit Raymonde April und Mark Ruwedel Fotografie studiert und wurde im "Le Mois de la Photo à Montreal 1993" ausgestellt. Zu dieser Zeit war er dabei einen MFA am Nova Scotia College of Art & Design zu machen, wo er u.a. von Garry Kennedy, Dennis Young, und David Askevold lernte.
Moritz Gaede studied photography with Raymonde April and Mark Ruwedel in Montreal, Canada and was featured as an emerging artist in 'Le Mois de la Photo à Montreal' 1993. At that time he was completing an MFA at the Nova Scotia College of Art & Design, studying a.o. with Garry Kennedy, Dennis Young, and David Askevold.
Aktivitäten / Ausstellungen:
Nach mehreren Jahren an Kanadischen Galerien als Künstler, Kurator und Direktor, zog Gaede 1999 nach Amsterdam um Netz.Kunst Gruppe drivedrive.com zu betreiben. Von 2008 - 2012 kuratierte er eine Reihe von Ausstellungen mit Galerie ZK in Berlin, und gab im Dezember 2011 'Fontaine - Anonymous Art in the Hive Mind' heraus.
Im Oktober 2015 präsentierte Gaede 'Salon Fontaine' im Museum für Nonkonformistische Kunst, Pushkinskaya Art Center, St. Petersburg. http://salon.io/fontaine
After several years at Canadian galleries as artist, curator, and director, Gaede moved to Amsterdam in 1999 to launch net.art group drivedrive.com. From 2008 - 2012 he curated a series of exhibitions at Galerie ZK in Berlin, publishing 'Fontaine - Anonymous Art in the Hive Mind' in December 2011.
In October 2015, Gaede presented 'Salon Fontaine' at the Museum of Nonconformist Art, Pushkinskaya Art Center, St. Petersburg. http://salon.io/fontaine
