Statement:
Der Weg ist das Ziel - so mein Lebensmotto!
Dieses Motto ist auch Wegweiser für meine Malerei - denn gerade in der Kreativität muss der Weg das Ziel sein auf dem ich mich weiterentwickeln und mich mit unterschiedlichen Techniken konfrontieren kann.

geboren 1953 in Senden/Iller

Auf der Suche nach meiner „Malheimat“ habe ich mich schon in jungen Jahren autodidaktisch mit verschiedenen Maltechniken beschäftigt. Beginnend mit der Seidenmalerei über Pastell- und Ölkreide führte mich mein „Farbenweg“ dann zur Acryltechnik. Hier fand ich dann auch vor ca. 15 Jahren mein malerisches Zuhause. In überwiegend großen Formaten und kräftigen Farben entstehen Bilder, die sich aus meinem Inneren auf der Leinwand manifestieren.

Meine Jahre in München brachten mich dazu, mich bei verschiedenen Künstlern in Workshops mit unterschiedlichen Techniken auseinander zu setzen und mich weiterzubilden. Als Mitglied und zweiter Vorstand der Freien Künstler Olching nehme ich bis heute an verschiedenen Ausstellungen im Großraum München teil.

Es war aber auch immer ein Drang in mir zur kompakten Acrylfarbe die Leichtigkeit der
Aquarellfarbe kennenzulernen. In München damit im gegenständlichen Bereich angefangen brachte mich dieser Wunsch dann nach meinem Umzug nach Ulm zur Kunstgruppe des experimentellen Aquarells von Dorothea Grathwohl. Hier fand ich genau das, was ich mir unter dieser Leichtigkeit vorstellte.
Im abstrakten und reduzierten Aquarell finde ich mich wieder und es gelingt mir mehr und mehr,
die Technik zu erfassen und mit dieser wunderbaren Farbe umzugehen.

Heute lebe und arbeite ich in Dornstadt, in der Nähe von Ulm
