Jürgen Steinbach, Dipl. Ing. und Fotograph, beschäftigt sich schon seit seiner Jugend mit der künstlerischen Fotographie und deren Umsetzung auf verschiedene Medien. Während seiner beruflichen Laufbahn als geschäftsführender Gesellschafter eines Maschinenbaubetriebs für Verpackungsmaschinen, entwickelten sich seine Sujets aus den vielfältigen technischen Möglichkeiten, die sich aus der digitalen Fotographie und der computergestützten Konstruktion (CAD) ergeben. Dazu bedarf es nicht nur profunder theoretischer und praktischer Kenntnisse der Fotographie, sondern auch reichliche Erfahrung mit dem Umgang mit technischen Medien. Im Laufe der weiteren Entwicklung entdeckte er, wie reizvoll es ist, perfekte Abbildungen zu abstrahieren und unter Verwendung verschiedener Druckmedien, die Prozesshaftigkeit der Bilder sichtbar zu machen.
