Robert Gravelin was born in Burlington, Vermont, United States in 1955. He started his studies in Fine Art in 1987 at East Carolina University in Greenville N.C,
There he studied ceramics, drawing, music and dance. After one year he studied drawing, painting, photography, and dance. at Northern Arizona University, in
Flagstaff, AZ. The spring of that year he toured Europe. He then spent two years studying theater, music, video, dance, and painting at the Naropa University in
Boulder Colorado. He earned a BA in interdisciplinary arts with emphasis in theater and minor in visual art. In 1996 he attended the Instituto Allende in San Miguel
de Allende, Mexico and earned an MFA in Fine Arts in 1998 with emphasis in painting and sculpture.
Robert has been teaching fine art and ESL at the Arab American University in Palestine from 2001-2005.
In November, 2004 Robert held an exhibition of his paintings at the League of Palestinian Artists art gallery in Ramallah Palestine.
After spending two years in Romania, Robert held two exhibitions there, one was in the Museum of Fine Arts in Constanta, Romania, and another at the Muzeum of Art in Gura Humorului, Romania.
He is currently working on musical recordings and research for a new exhibition of paintings in the US.
