Bio / Resumee / Statement:
Dick Schlefer studied with Lisette Model and George Tice at the New School in New York and received an M.A. in Studio Arts from New York University. His work has been shown in New York at White Columns and P.S. 122 and at Hallwalls in Buffalo (\\\\\\\"Spiral of Artificiality,\\\\\\\" catalog 1987), among many other galleries. His book, ELEMENTS: Photopaintings of New York, is on display at blurb.com. Other work can be seen on his website, dickschlefer.com.
Dick lives in New York with his wife, the novelist Elaine Reidy.
