Bio / Resumee / Statement:
Geboren und aufgewachsen bin ich in Wilhelmshaven, einer Stadt an der Nordsee. Das Meer hat mein Leben geprägt und macht es immer noch – wie in vielen von meinen Bildern zu sehen ist.

In Wilhelmshaven bin ich bis zum Abitur zur Schule gegangen. Anschließend habe ich ein Architekturstudium an der TU Hannover absolviert, das ich mit dem Diplom erfolgreich abgeschlossen habe. Neben dem Architekturstudium habe ich Gebrauchsgrafik per Fernkurs an der FAS ( Famous Artists School von Albert Dorne, Norman Rockwell u.a.) studiert. Meine Promotion schrieb ich über grafische Datenverarbeitung in der Architektur- und Bauplanung ebenfalls an der TU Hannover. Die Dissertation wurde unter dem Titel - „Einsatz integrierter Standard DV - Systeme beim Objektmanagement“- im Shaker Verlag 1996 veröffentlicht (ISBN 3-8265-5423-X ).
Beruflich bin ich seit 1976 als Architekt tätig gewesen.1986 wechselte ich zur Aral AG in Bochum und war für den Aufbau und die Führung der technisch-grafischen Datenverarbeitung (CAD, FM mit den entsprechenden SAP-Modulen etc.) sowie deren Einbindung in die betriebswirtschaftliche Standardsoftware zuständig. Von 2008 bis 2014 war ich Mitglied der Malgruppe um Herbert Daniel im Halfmanns Hof in Gelsenkirchen, er war einer der bekanntesten Grafiker und Karikaturisten im Ruhrgebiet.
Seit 1971 sind Dagmar und ich verheiratet. Wir haben drei Kinder – Björn, Sölve und Lasse – und vier Enkelkinder – Vincent, Maja, Jonathan, Noah. Wir haben in Hannover, bei Hamburg und im Ruhrpott gelebt und gearbeitet. Seit dem November 2016 leben Dagmar und ich wieder in unserer Heimatstadt Wilhelmshaven.

Bio/Statement

I was born and grew up in Wilhelmshaven, a town at the North Sea. The sea has shaped my life and still does – as you can see in many of my prints and paintings. I visited elementary and high school in Wilhelmshaven, where I also completed my highschool diploma (Abitur). After School I studied architecture at the Technical University at Hanover, which I completed with diploma in 1976. During this time I have make some Correspondence course in commercial art at the FAS ( Famous Artists School von Albert Dorne, Norman Rockwell a.o.in New York). Later I wrote my dissertation about graphical and technical data processing in the architecture and construction planning at the Technical University in Hanover too. My dissertation was published by Shaker Verlag in 1996 (ISBN 3-8265-5423-X).

I have worked as architect since 1986 and changed 1986 in the construction department of Aral, where I was responsible for graphic and technical data processing in the architecture and construction planning – named CAD (Computer Aided Design) und FM (Facilities Management) with SAP Softwareproducts. With the beginning of my pasionary period I had time to deepen my artistic activities and than I was a member of the painting group from Herbert Daniel, one of the famous painter and cartoonist in the ruhr area.

Since 1971 I am married to Dagmar. We have three Children – Björn, Sölve and Lasse - and four grandchildren – Vincent, Maja, Jonathan and Noah. We have lived and worked in Hanover, near Hamburg and in the Ruhr area. Now in 2016 Dagmar and I moved back to our hometown Wilhelmshaven.

Seit 2,5 Jahren Jahr habe ich die Website auf artists24. Ich freue mich sehr über die überraschend vielen Besucher meiner Website. Wenn sie Interesse am Erwerb eines Bildes haben, sie auf einer Ausstellung oder bei mir zuhause anschauen wollen, nehmen sie mit mir per E-Mail Kontakt auf.
„Gezeichnet und gemalt habe ich Zeit meines Lebens - mal mehr, mal weniger." Während der Schulzeit im Leistungskurs Kunst, im Architekturstudium, im FAS – Fernkurs sowieso, berufsbezogen als Architektur- zeichner und oft zur Entspannung in der Freizeit und auf Urlaubsreisen. Der Schwerpunkt meines künstlerischen Schaffens sind jetzt Landschaftsbilder, wie sie auf meiner Website gezeigt werden.
Die Beschäftigung mit der Siebdrucktechnik und den CADD-Techniken (Computer aided Design and Drawing) und deren künstlerischen Ausdrucksformen führte mich dazu, meine Reiseskizzen zur malerischen Weiterbearbeitung auf diese Medien – Siebdruck und PC-Software – zu übertragen.
Die fertigen Bilder sind auf meiner Website zu betrachten.
Seit 1983 habe ich vermehrt bei Hamburg, im Ruhrgebiet und später auch in Wilhelmshaven ausgestellt.
Zur Zeit stelle ich einige Bilder im Restaurant " An Bord" - Schleusenstraße 22, 26382 Wilhelmshaven – aus. In der WZ (Wilhelmshavener Zeitung) wurden am 23.5.und 24.12.2020 Wimmelbilder aus meinem Malbuch für Grundschulkinder – Hein, Jan und Pit auf großer Fahrt mit dem U-Boot Traumfänger von Wilhelmshaven bis Helgoland – abgebildet. Wer Interesse an dem Malbuch hat, kann sich mit mir per E-Mail in Verbindung setzen. Ab Mai 2021 gebe ich in der Evangelischen Familien-Bildungsstätte Friesland-Wilhelmshaven, Zeichenkurse „freies Skizzieren in der Natur, im Hafen und am Meer" sowie „Geschichten erzählen mit Bleistift, Farbstift etc. auf dem Zeichenblock“ für Grundschulkinder.
Zur Zeit habe ich eine Ausstellung in der Havenwerft Rheinstrasse 49 in Wilhelmshaven. Die Ausstellung geht bis zum 30. März 2023.
Weiterhin werden von mir Bilder im Restaurant - An Bord - Schleusenstrasse 22 in 26382 Wilhelmshaven ausgestellt.

Activities

Since 2020 I have the webpage with artists24. I am surprised and happied about the many visitors on my websites. During the schooltime, in the advanced art and later as architectural draftsman and often for relaxation on holidays and travels round europe and north america. Landscapes I have become the main emphasis of my artistic ambitions, as you can see on my webpage.
The occupations with screen painting and CADD (Computer Aided Design And Drawing) systems and there artistic forms of expression led my thoughts to scan of my sketches of landscapes with these softwaresystems and finished the pictures with their drawing and painting modules, as you can see in my website under artwork. Since 1983 I have exhibited near Hamburg, across the Ruhr
Area and now in wilhelmshaven too.Some of my picture with hidden object for children were printed 2020 in the newspaper called WZ (Wilhelmshavener Zeitung). Since 2021 I teach drawing courses for children and adults in the evangelical family educational institution.
