Born 1953, Sussex, England. Moved to USA in 1982. Divorced. Two children. Has worked as department store storeroom boy, postman, landscaper (lawn mowing, etc), psychiatric counselor, director of an art workshop at a psychiatric hospital, and as a church sexton (handyman).

Have been involved with mail art scene from 1978, underground DIY music scene in England 1979-82 (mentioned in book: DISCOGRAPHY OF THE NEW WAVE, 1983), with solo and group projects (New 7th MUSIC,THE MODERN FARMERS, RANDOM VALENCY), performance art (mentioned in book: {PERFORMANCE ART MEMOIRS by Jeff Nuttall), most recent, RON SHAKES HANDS in Staten Island, New York, September 2008,conceptual/process art since 1972, most recent, PROSEMS (prose/poem), writing invented words on found objects, September 2008 FLOATING PROSEM launched in the waters off of Staten Island, New York. Assemblage and constructions from 1972 on, using found objects. Paintings and drawings.Recent drawings using paint markers on found objects.Recent paintings ARTIST PORTRAITS....on canvas, the artists name, and PEOPLE PAINTINGS, names from telephone book painted over the top of found paintings.
