Malerei/Grafik - themenbezogen / Tier / Natur / Alltagskultur

Angelika Prinz Bilder bestechen durch das kontrastierende Aufeinandertreffen grafischer und malerisch ausgestalteter Elemente. Ausgehend von medialen Entwürfen entwickelt sie ihre Bildideen in der Wechselwirkung von Figur, Malerei und Grafik, vor monochromem Hintergrund. Die aussagekräftigen Farben und der graphische Rahmen ihrer Werke lässt ihre Faszination und ihre stilistische Nähe zu den Ausdrucksformen der Pop Art durchscheinen.
Meist aber verlassen ihre Bildaussagen den realistischen Bezug und führen uns zusätzlich in eine Welt wundersamer Geschichten, ironischer Weltwahrnehmung und in die Abgründe des Surrealen.
Natur, Tiere, Florales erscheinen als wesentliche Details ihrer Bildkompositionen, die mit dem Menschen, bei Angelika Prinz immer eine Frau, in Beziehung treten, und sich in seine Handlungen, in seine Existenz mischen, mit ihm koexistieren oder ihm ähnlich sind.
