Statement:
My fusion series of paintings synthesizes symbols of different cultures. I use digital images from photos and introduce them into a sea of abstract forms through collage. Both forces of creation are driven by spontaneity. In the process I cover, expose, restructure,
layer, and create texture on the painting’s surfaces. The original idea is never lost it is always apparent. Fusion is a work of art melting images, forms, colors, textures and materials into one hot painting.
