DISPOSITION OF A REALITY
I am particularly interested in the media of painting and drawing, as these are more original than other flat art such as photography or video art. A selection of images deals with the following topics: short-lived content in a changing society of values, the question of human meaning in a changing reality through upbringing, education and competition. In my series of works, an abstract implementation is synonymous with individual and social development tendencies. Theses by Sigmund Freud, Michel Foucault, Gilles Deleuze and Jacques Lacan are reflected in the pictures.
Another aspect of my artistic research is dealing with art history, especially mannerism in the 16th century. The published painterly and graphic works were created in 2001-2006, 2009-22 with charcoal pencil / acrylic or charcoal / wax crayon on paper and acrylic / canvas (please click on "Information" for details). Since 2017 I have been photographing my graphic and painting works myself and putting together my own texts as an autonomous practice. So far, three catalogs and two brochures, all in A4 (29.7 x 21 cm), have been created.
Excerpt from my catalog "Condition" (2021): The title refers to everyday snapshots of questioning and dealing with unexpected challenges as an individual. Dealing with the visual arts in theory and practice is an extended life experience. Personal development depends on various factors. How does a post-capitalist society actually define success? Numerous circumstances require autonomous action and concentration on available resources in particular phases. Languages consist of expressive structures of thought and can convey points of view in different ways. An analog project with notes and sketches is the basis for asking how and whether the content-related value of a concept takes shape. The creation of a digital archive has become indispensable.
In 2022, half of the expenses of my annual projects (two solo exhibitions in Austria, four exhibition participations in Italy, two catalogues) will be funded by the cultural department of the country of Styria.

DISPOSIZIONE DI UNA REALTÀ
Sono particolarmente interessato ai media della pittura e del disegno, in quanto sono più originali di altre arti piatte come la fotografia o la video arte. Una selezione di immagini tratta i seguenti argomenti: contenuti di breve durata in una società di valori che cambia, la questione del significato umano in una realtà che cambia attraverso l'educazione, l'educazione e la competizione. Nella mia serie di lavori, un'implementazione astratta è sinonimo di tendenze di sviluppo individuale e sociale. Le tesi di Sigmund Freud, Michel Foucault, Gilles Deleuze e Jacques Lacan si riflettono nelle immagini.
Un altro aspetto della mia ricerca artistica riguarda la storia dell'arte, in particolare il manierismo nel XVI secolo. Le opere pittoriche e grafiche pubblicate sono state realizzate nel 2001-2006, 2009-22 con carboncino/acrilico o carboncino/gessetto cerato su carta e acrilico/tela (cliccare su "Informazioni" per i dettagli). Dal 2017 fotografo personalmente i miei lavori grafici e pittorici e metto insieme i miei testi come pratica autonoma. Finora sono stati realizzati tre cataloghi e due opuscoli, tutti in A4 (29,7 x 21 cm).
Estratto dal mio catalogo "Condition" (2021): Il titolo si riferisce a istantanee quotidiane di domande e di affrontare sfide inaspettate come individuo. Impegnarsi nelle arti visive in teoria e paratica è un'esperienza di vita ampliata. Lo sviluppo personale dipende da vari fattori. Come definisce effettivamente il successo una società post-capitalista? Numerose circostanze richiedono un'azione autonoma e la concentrazione sulle risorse disponibili in fasi particolari. I linguaggi sono costituiti da strutture espressive del pensiero e possono trasmettere diversi punti di vista. Un progetto analogico con appunti e schizzi è la base per chiedersi come e se prende forma il valore sostanziale di un concetto. La creazione di un archivio digitale è diventata indispensabile.
Nel 2022 metà delle spese dei miei progetti annuali (due mostre personali in Austria, quattro partecipazioni a mostre in Italia, due cataloghi) saranno finanziate dal dipartimento di cultura del paese della Stiria.

DISPOSITION EINER REALITÄT
Die Medien der Malerei und Zeichnung interessieren mich besonders, da diese im Gegensatz zu anderen Flächenkünsten wie Fotografie oder Video Art ursprünglicher entstehen. Eine Auswahl von Abbildungen setzt sich mit folgenden Themen auseinander: kurzlebige Inhalte in einer sich wandelnden Wertegesellschaft, die Sinnfrage des Menschen in einer sich verändernden Realität durch Erziehung, Bildung und Wettbewerb. Eine abstrahierende Umsetzung steht in meiner Werkserie als Synonym für individuelle und soziale Entwicklungstendenzen. Thesen von Sigmund Freud, Michel Foucault, Gilles Deleuze und Jacques Lacan finden in den Bildern eine Reflexion.
Ein weiterer Aspekt meiner künstlerischen Forschungsarbeit ist die Auseinandersetzung mit der Kunstgeschichte, vor allem dem Manierismus im 16. Jahrhundert. Die veröffentlichten malerisch-graphischen Arbeiten sind 2001-2006, 2009-22 mit Kohlestift / Acryl oder Fettkohle / Wachakreide auf Papier sowie Acryl / Leinwand (bitte "Informationen" für Details anklicken) entstanden. Seit 2017 stelle ich meine graphisch-malerischen Arbeiten selber fotografiert und mit eigenen Texten als autonome Praxis zusammen. Bisher sind drei Kataloge und zwei Broschüren, alle in A4 (29,7 x 21 cm), entstanden.
Auszug aus meinem Katalog "Condition" (2021): Der Titel bezieht sich auf alltägliche Momentaufnahmen, als Individuum unerwartete Herausforderungen zu hinterfragen. Sich mit bildender Kunst in Theorie und Praxis zu befassen, ist eine erweiterte Lebenserfahrung. Die persönliche Entwicklung hängt von verschiedenen Faktoren ab. Wie definiert eine postkapitalistische Gesellschaft eigentlich Erfolg? Zahlreiche Umstände erfordern in besonderen Phasen ein autonomes Handeln und eine Konzentration auf vorhandene Ressourcen. Sprachen bestehen aus expressiven Strukturen des Denkens und können Sichtweisen unterschiedlich vermitteln. Ein analoges Projekt mit Notizen und Skizzen ist die Basis für die Fragestellung, wie und ob der inhaltliche Wert eines Konzepts Gestalt annimmt. Das Erstellen eines digitalen Archivs ist mittlerweile unverzichtbar.
In 2022 werden die Ausgaben meiner Jahresprojekte (zwei Einzelausstellungen in Österreich, vier Beteiligungen in Italien, zwei Kataloge) zur Hälfte von der Kulturabteilung des Landes Steiermark gefördert.

Biography
Already in my youth occupation with art history. Between 1987 and 1993 stays abroad in Italy, Iceland and Israel. From 1994 to 1999 study of painting and graphics at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna.
After graduating in autumn 1999, the first solo exhibition “Interregional Aspects and Visual References” in the kunsthaus muerz gallery. From 2000 numerous solo and group exhibitions in galleries and cultural institutions in Austria, Germany, Slovenia, England, Switzerland and Portugal. Works can be found in the art collections of the City of Vienna and the Neue Galerie at the Universalmuseum Joanneum in Graz. Since 2002 lecturer at the Institute for Art and its mediation at the Leuphana University of Lueneburg (Lower Saxony) in the module "Aesthetic-Artistic Practice". 2009/10 five publications of exhibition reviews on the web portal artmagazine.cc. In 2011, my previous formal and thematic work production was mentioned in the General Artists Lexicon (De Gruyter Publishing House, Munich).
From 2011 to 2013 course in art and cultural studies at the University of Applied Arts. At the same time, starting in autumn 2021, two-semester integral studies at the Faculty for Interdisciplinary Research and Education (IFF) with a final certificate on the project topic "Titian's body depictions between life, pain and death".
My works deal with questions and aspects of social issues and sometimes arise over a longer period of time. The picture elements are an examination of art-scientific terms, craft techniques and contemporary arts

Biografia
Nato nel 1968 (per metà austriaco e sloveno). Già in gioventù si dedicò alla storia dell'arte. Tra il 1987 e il 1993 soggiorni all'estero in Italia, Islanda e Israele. Dal 1994 al 1999 ha studiato pittura e grafica all'Università di Arti Applicate di Vienna.
Dopo la laurea nell'autunno del 1999, la prima mostra personale “Aspetti interregionali e riferimenti visivi” alla galleria kunsthaus muerz. Dal 2000 numerose mostre personali e collettive in gallerie e istituzioni culturali in Austria, Germania, Slovenia, Inghilterra, Svizzera e Portogallo. Le opere si trovano nelle collezioni d'arte della città di Vienna e nella Nuova Galleria dell'Universalmuseum Joanneum di Graz. Dal 2002 docente presso l'Istituto per l'Arte e la sua Mediazione presso l'Università Leuphana di Lueneburg (stato della Bassa Sassonia) nel modulo "Pratica Estetica-Artistica". 2009/10 cinque pubblicazioni di rassegne di mostre sul portale web artmagazine.cc. Nel 2011 la mia precedente produzione di lavoro formale e tematica è stata citata in "Dizionario generale dell'artista" (De Gruyter Verlag, Monaco di Baviera).
Dal 2011 al 2013 corso di studi artistici e culturali presso l'Università di Arti Applicate. Parallelamente, dall'autunno 2012, un corso di studio integrale di due semestri presso la Facoltà di Ricerca Interdisciplinare e Educazione Permanente (IFF) con un certificato finale sul tema del progetto "Le rappresentazioni del corpo di Tiziano tra vita, dolore e morte".
I miei lavori trattano aspetti di questioni sociali da più di 20 anni e talvolta sorgono per un periodo di tempo più lungo. Gli elementi pittorici sono un esame di termini arte-scientifici, tecniche artigianali e discorsi contemporanei.

Biografie
Bereits in der Jugend Beschäftigung mit der Kunstgeschichte. Zwischen 1987 und 1993 Auslandsaufenthalte in Italien, Island und Israel. Von 1994 bis 1999 Studium der Malerei und Graphik an der Universität für Angewandte Kunst in Wien.
Nach dem Diplom im Herbst 1999 die erste Einzelausstellung „Interregionale Aspekte und visuelle Referenzen“ in der galerie kunsthaus muerz. Ab 2000 zahlreiche Einzel- und Gruppenausstellungen in Galerien sowie Kulturinstitutionen in Österreich, Deutschland, Slowenien, England, Schweiz und Portugal. Werke befinden sich unter anderem in den Kunstsammlungen der Stadt Wien und der Neuen Galerie am Universalmuseum Joanneum in Graz. Seit 2002 Lehrbeauftragter am Institut für Kunst und ihre Vermittlung an der Leuphana Universität Lüneburg (Land Niedersachsen) im Modul „Ästhetisch-Künstlerische Praxis“. 2009/10 fünf Veröffentlichungen von Ausstellungsbesprechungen bei dem Webportal artmagazine.cc. 2011 fand meine bisherige formale und thematische Werkproduktion in Allgemeines Künstlerlexikon (De Gruyter Verlag, München) eine Erwähnung.
Von 2011 bis 2013 Lehrgang zu Kunst- und Kulturwissenschaftlichen Studien an der Universität für Angewandte Kunst. Parallel dazu ab Herbst 2012 ein zweisemestriges Studium Integrale an der Fakultät für Interdisziplinäre Forschung und Fortbildung (IFF) mit einem Abschlusszertifikat zu dem Projektthema „Tizians Körperdarstellungen zwischen Leben, Schmerz und Tod“.
Meine Arbeiten behandeln seit mehr als 20 Jahren Fragen und Aspekte zu gesellschaftlichen Themen und entstehen mitunter über einen längeren Zeitraum. Die Bildelemente sind eine Auseinandersetzung mit kunstwissenschaftlichen Begriffen, handwerklichen Techniken und zeitgenössischen Diskursen.
