Art for me is not only a gift and the ability for me to express my inner self and how this reflects in the outer world. The ability to identify my soul and the complexities that I do not understand but can reflect in colour is truly a gift from the heavens.
My form of art is based on spirituality. This to me involves energies, emotional states of others around me as well as my own. It is a way to illustrate my own interpretation of what is going on in my life and the lives of others. My interaction with my paintings and the colours I choose also involves some form of the Ying and Yang. Some of my paintings have themes of happiness and those interfering with the happiness of others to no avail. They often fail to overpower a happy person, and those who are selfless but make attempts to do this anyways.
I enjoy expressing true happiness, as I know it and the options we have to achieve this. Another important aspect of my art is Sexuality. Sexuality in my artwork emphasizes how to provide and receive healthy energy to and from the ones you love.
Not everyone is comfortable with their own sexuality, let alone sexuality of others or in a painting. This may bring out all kinds of emotions that may only suggest that every individual has their own personal work to do in this area. I am comfortable with sharing that side of me and will continue to do so as long as my soul says, “paint it.”
Energy is a key theme in my work. The colours I choose are about the energies my soul is and continues to be responsive to. It is a natural flow of the reflection in my inner state and a beautiful exercise to reflect it not just for others to see and for me to see what the condition of my inner state is at any given moment and is helpful during my journey as an artist. This is my personal catalyst needed for me to find the power within to change the world.
My statement as an artist is that each time you view my work you will always find something different, special, and meaningful than you did the first time. The conclusions may or may not remain the same, based on your own personal energy of the day, you choose what you want to see, or the art chooses you.
What I have to offer in my paintings is only me, my soul, my truth and share it with an audience who can use my reflection to find their own.
