Statement:
Ich arbeite nach dem Grundsatz: Alles ist erlaubt. Das hat bekanntlich schon Kandinsky gesagt und damit die Befreiung von Regeln, von Stilvorschriften gemeint. Allen voran beziehe ich mich jedoch auf die Grundlage dessen was als Outsiderkunst bezeichnet wird und versuche mich einzureihen in eine Gruppe von Schaffenden, die Kunst als innere Katharsis betreiben, losgelöst von dem was gerade „in“ ist oder erwartet würde. Dies betrifft ästhetische Gesichtspunkte genauso wie kunsttheoretische Forderungen. Material, egal ob zum Bauen von Objekten oder dem Gestalten einer Leinwand, eines Blattes Papier, wird letztendlich verwendet, um quasi halluzinatorisch aufgekommene Bilder zu bannen. Auslöser für diese sind sicherlich Erlebnisse und Eindrücke der umgebenden Welt, jedoch verdaut und mit den inneren (noch) unbekannten menschlichen Bewusstseinsprozessen konfrontiert, ergeben sie mentale Momentaufnahmen, die für sich als Ergebnis stehen dürfen ohne tiefenpsychologisch entschlüsselt werden zu müssen. Vielmehr ist für mich das Faszinierende über Umwege der Materialanwendung das versteckte Spiel der neurologischen Vorgänge nutzen und letztendlich abbilden zu können.
Surrealismus, Pop Art, Street Art und Naive Malerei werden zu einem Stil-Cocktail. Die Montage ist dabei das vorherrschende Kompositionsprinzip. Formschöpfung als Gestaltverwandlung und Neu-Kontextualisierung von recyceltem Material zur bestmöglichen Abbildung des inneren Chaos.
Bedient wird sich auch in der Vorratskammer der Kunstgeschichte ebenso wie von Vorlagen aus Illustrierten. Diese Referenzen sind keine wirklichen Zitate, sondern sind geborgte Requisiten für das zu zeigende Stück. In einer sich immer weiter enträtselnden und technisierenden Welt schwinden vielleicht irgendwann die Möglichkeiten, die rätselhaften Vorgänge die zur Entstehung des Selbst führen entsprechend in geschaffenen Dingen wirken zu lassen.
