Statement:
Mayank reveals through his lens, the secret poetry of ephemeral phenomena like wind blown clouds, drying lakes, stains on walls, birds on wires, mosses and weeds; to capture the unity of soul of all elements, the ideal purpose of which is to reflect the soul of the observer.

Bio / Resumee / Statement:
New Delhi and Jaipur (India) based fine-art photographer, graphic designer and concept illustrator.

Studied graphic design at the prestigious Faculty of Fine Arts, M. S. University, Baroda (Gujarat, India), from 1991-1995. Learnt photography at Baroda as part of the professional B.F.A. degree program.

Worked as an art director with one of Indias leading advertising agencies for 5 years. Afterwards started my freelance graphic design career. Have also been deeply engaged in nature and fine art photography and graphic illustration. As a graphic designer, I have designed for some of worlds leading brands and my graphics have been published in leading Indian and international journals.

Activities:
My first solo show, titled Out of the Ordinary was held at Sukriti Art Gallery, Jawahar Kala Kendra, Jaipur (Rajasthan, India) from March 16-20, 2008.

My second solo show, titled The Pink City Unfocussed, was held at Sukriti Art Gallery, Jawahar Kala Kendra, Jaipur (Rajasthan, India) from January 18-23, 2009.

My third solo show, Water, was held at Triveni Gallery, Triveni Kala Sangam, New Delhi, India from July 10-16 2009.

My fourth solo show, Water, was held at Sukriti Art Gallery, Jawahar Kala Kendra, Jaipur (Rajasthan, India) from February 20-25 2010.

Am a contributing editor to the website Serious Compacts (www.seriouscompacts.com)

My works are currently in private collections in India, Canada and United States.
