MILENA POPOV
Milena Popov was born in Yugoslavia, but lives and works in New York City, US since 2000. She received a PhD in Theory of Arts and Media from the University of Arts, Belgrade and both MFA and BFA in Painting and Art education from the Academy of Arts, Novi Sad. She teaches at two colleges in New York City. Popov is a Founder, organizer, and moderator of the Milena’s Intellectual Salon (since 2012) and a co-founder and member of multimedia art group Aufwiedersehen (since 1997). As an artist she is also a member of few art associations such as Artist Association of Williamsburg Art & Historic Center, NYC (since 2002) and ULUVZ (Association of Artists in Vojvodina in Zrenjanin, since 1998). Her work is included in both public and private collections around the world, including Museum of Contemporary Art of Vojvodina in Novi Sad (Serbia). She is a recipient of several honors and awards, and has exhibited her art works world wide. Milena Popov can be reached at: milenapopov@ymail.com.
