Statement:
„Malen ist für mich zunächst das Bedürfnis, meine Wahrnehmungen und Vorstellungen, meine Gedanken und Gefühle in eine Metapher, in ein Bild zu fassen. Oft bleibt es bei der spontan nachempfundenen Darstellung der Wirklichkeit, manchmal arbeiten gesehene Motive im Innern noch lange nach, verselbständigen sich und bahnen sich Wochen später einen Weg. Skizzen animieren mich je nach Stimmung Themen daheim nochmals aufzugreifen, damit zu spielen, verschiedene Techniken und Darstellungsarten auszuprobieren, bis das Bild dem entspricht, was ich ausdrücken will.

Die Vielseitigkeit der Bilder verbietet es, mich auf einen Stil festzunageln. Manchmal ist meine Farbpalette dunkel zurückhaltend, manchmal licht und heiter, der Malstil zart, empfindsam und manchmal wild und explosiv – ein Spiegel meiner Verfassungen und Stimmungen, die z. T. eine Antwort auf die Ausstrahlung des Motivs sind, z. T. in mir selbst begründet sind.
Die Motive reichen von Landschaften, Städtebildern, Blumen bis hin zu abstrakten Farbspielen. Die Techniken umfassen Aquarell, Acryl, Tempera und Öl.“

Hinsichtlich meiner Malerei bin ich überwiegend Autodidaktin, früher hin und wieder unterstützt durch VHS-Kurse, gegenwärtig durch Kurse in diversen Kunstakademien.
