Daydreamers & Dream Boxes
A daydream, bits and pieces from a dream, images and objects that are around us and recall a situation, a memory, all of them overlap, sometimes connect, make no sense or on the contrary seem perfectly coherent. As they overlap in our mind, conscious or unconscious, they tell a story of their own, create new images and situations with this infinite liberty of interpretations, unbound and that we cannot master in any way.
By starting this series around the dreams in 2007, I did not know at the time how to “materialize” all those images or if I actually wanted to “materialize” them. Through the process of my drawings, paintings, making or collecting objects I started to ‘built’ another world of images that called for new ones.
I can let go any direction, as everything seems to connect.
